Run down the tunnels until Lara reaches a room. There is a river
ahead of her. Be careful not to fall in. Instead go to the right,
where the cavern opens up to a large cave. Draw pistols and walk out
onto the first ledge. From here Lara can see two wolves near the pool
at the bottom of the waterfall. Kill the two wolves (1, 2) from here. Walk down to the floor of the cavern, and head toward an opening to the next cave that is directly opposite the waterfall. Ready pistols if they've been put them away, and jump over the slope into the next cave where another wolf (3) will attack Lara. Lara can kill it from here, but she can also back flip back into waterfall cave and pick off the wolf from safety. Continue forward through a zig-zag passage and to Lara's right is another cave. Lara can ready her pistol and slide in and kill the three wolves (4, 5, 6) waiting for her there, or Lara can ignore them, as that is a dead end. After Lara kills the wolves, exit that dead end passage with a jump, and climb up the rocks in front and to Lara's right until she gets to a skeleton. After Lara grabs the large Medi Pack (1), slide down to the valley floor and take a few steps forward. Lara will hear a thump-thump-thump. She can either draw her pistols and try to face two oncoming raptors (7, 8), or turn tail, and climb up onto a ledge that she just dropped into the valley from, and shoot at the raptors from that safe vantage point. What happens next used to be sheer adrenaline. Ahead is the T-Rex. Again, Lara can choose to take it on by dodging around and shooting, or she can follow one of two other techniques. The first is to run forward until the T-Rex (9) appears and begin to fire while hopping back and back flipping until Lara returns to the little nook that Lara first slid into the valley from. The T-Rex is too big to squeeze into that space, so just stand in the corner, while the big T-Rex continues to try to run towards Lara. Or instead, Lara can run forward past the first waterfall, and just before the broken bridge and duck into a passageway that is surrounded with vegetation. Draw pistols, and head straight into the passageway. Before Lara makes the first left turn in the passageway, ready pistols. There's a red raptor (10), that she can kill from a safe vantage point if she didn't charge forward into that part of the tunnel. Then walk up to the other opening of the passageway that overlooks most of the valley. From this high vantage point, Lara can shoot at T-Rex as it runs around the valley floor. Safety drop out of this passage and head forward past another waterfall, and toward a stone pillar in the middle of the valley. Head forward to the right of the pillar and draw pistols and take out two more raptors (11, 12) that rush out at Lara there. Now that the valley floor is clear of enemies, Lara can explore the valley safely. |

SECRET #1 |
First, return to the waterfall that actually falls into a pool, and just to the right of it, have Lara boost herself up into SECRET #1, and grab the shotgun shells (2). | ||
SECRET #2 |
Then run around to the left side of that waterfall, and climb up the rock face. Lara will need to do a diagonal standing jump to a ledge just to the left of the waterfall, then face the wall and grab the crevice in front of her. Lara must shimmy over to the middle of the waterfall where the opening is tall enough to pull herself up. Do so and go forward into SECRET #2 and grab the magnum clips (3) and shotgun shells (4). Return to the waterfall, and hang from the waterfall, and shimmy back to the left until Lara is just to the left of the waterfall where she can let go and slide safely to the valley floor. | ||
SECRET #3 |
Run back up to the right of the stone pillar. A little past it on the right side of the valley before Lara reaches the temple is a stone rock face that Lara can climb up on. Turn and face left and walk to the edge of this little platform and do a standing jump and grab onto the next rock face. The next part is tricky. Stand in the outside corner of the rock platform Lara just pulled herself onto, and take one side step toward the center. Face the rock that is slightly above her and to the left. Do a standing jump onto that rock platform, then walk to the front left corner of that platform. Do another standing jump and grab to have Lara pull herself to the highest rock ledge, then walk to the front left corner, then aim Lara at the temple roof, and take a hop back and do a running jump and land on the temple roof, which is SECRET #3. Get the large Medi Pack (5) and magnum clips (6) then head forward and get the Uzi clips (7) on the crest of the roof, and shotgun shells (8) on the other side. Continue walking until Lara reaches the other edge of the roof and side step until Lara is a step away from the back corner of the roof. Aim Lara at the back wall of the valley, where there is a slope that runs back to the valley floor. Take a standing jump toward the rock face, and slide safely back to the valley floor. | ||
Cog #1 |
Enter the temple that is at the far end of the valley. Jump into the pool and swim down and to the right until Lara reaches a tunnel at the bottom. Grab the first cog (9), and return to the surface and exit the temple. | ||
Cog #2 |
Ahead and to the right is a light tunnel high in the valley wall.
Climb up into the tunnel, and follow it until Lara reaches the broken
bridge. Walk until she reaches the very edge of the broken bridge, hop
back and do a running jump and grab to get to the other side of the
bridge. Cross to the other side, and get the second cog (10), and then return to the edge of the broken
bridge and do a safety drop back down to the valley floor. Turn to the left and head forward until Lara reaches a slightly elevated tunnel. Boost Lara into the tunnel and head forward. Head into the tunnel, then to the right and then there is a drop down to the left. Draw guns and kill the raptor (13) before dropping down. Lara may need to dangle herself briefly from that ledge before the raptor comes out. |

Cog #3 |
Head forward down the tunnel until Lara reaches another waterfall.
Climb the rocks that are on the right of the waterfall. At the top is
the third cog (11). Safety drop back
down, and into the water. Follow the underwater tunnel back until
Lara can surface back in the valley. Head back to the entrance to the
valley, and climb back up to the skeleton at the crest of the
valley entrance. Drop back down the other side, and head back toward the waterfall and pool where the first two wolves were. Climb back up to the beginning of this level using the rocks to the left of the pool. Climb all the way back up to the beginning of this level, and run past the tunnel that Lara entered this level from. Turn right and walk to the edge of the river being careful not to fall in. Hop back and do a running jump across the river. Turn to the left, walk to the edge of the river, and do another running jump back across the river. Head up the slope and walk to the edge of the river. This time take one step back and then do a standing jump across to the ledge on the other side. Turn and face left and do another standing jump, then turn left and walk to the edge of the river and do another standing jump and grab to have Lara pull herself up to the last of these jumps. If Lara misses a single one, she's going for a swim, and dive over the waterfall, and she's going to have to start the jumps all over again, so be careful. Follow the tunnel until Lara reaches a rope bridge with a bunch of cogs ahead of her. There are three missing, so use the three Lara found to repair the machine, then throw the switch on the left to activate the machine. |

SECRET #4
|
Turn left and walk back to the bridge, but instead of crossing, drop and hang off of the platform to the right of the bridge, and shimmy left until Lara can drop down onto some rocks. Head forward into SECRET #4 and grab the large Medi Pack (12). | ||
Shotgun
|
Jump into the river and swim forward until Lara reaches the gold dam, and turn left. Immediately surface and have Lara pull herself out of the water on the left. Grab the shotgun (13) that is there. | ||
SECRET #5
|
Jump back into the water. Continue to swim down the tunnel. It's a long tunnel so don't waste any time. Exit the water and get Lara to pull herself up into SECRET #5. Scattered around the room are shotgun shells (14), a small Medi Pack (15), and more shotgun shells (16). After grabbing everything, head through the doorway, and perform a safety drop back down into the dry river bed. | ||
| Follow the dry river bed, that is beyond the gold dam, until Lara reaches a slope where the waterfall once poured over. Jump over the slope and fall a long way down into the pool below. Exit the pool by having Lara pull herself up into a tunnel that was formerly hidden behind the waterfall. Head forward, past a stone door that opens automatically for Lara to exit this level. | |||
